This is the way the previous owners of our house furnished the living area.
It's a real nightmare for furniture layout because it is completely open and must have room for a "walkthrough" to go from the kitchen/breakfast area (behind the photographer's vantage point) to the bedrooms (the doorway you see on the left-hand side of this photo).
Imagine this room now, with NO entertainment center - an upright black piano is against that wall now. We have no other suitable place to put the piano. We have no other furniture in this room now (no chairs, no rug, no sofa) other than the piano, because I'm stymied.
I'm considering putting the World Market Wyatt sectional facing the fireplace to better define the boundaries of this room. Is it a good idea?
